Summary
We are seeking for an enthusiastic and motivated post-doctoral fellow to join TRIA Group (Translational Research in Immunology and Ageing) at the IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Institute located at Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol (Biomedical Campus Can Ruti, Badalona). The successful candidate will work in the analysis of immunopathogenesis of Long Covid. The team has extensive experience in this new condition and works very closely with the referral post-COVID-19 Unit from the Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol. TRIA group is also involved in several clinical interventions to treat this new condition. The successful candidate will continue ongoing studies, participate in and lead projects, and collaborate with other researchers in data analysis and interpretation. Additionally, he/she will have the opportunity to initiate new cutting-edge research projects, in a highly collaborative network of international project partners.
Candidate profile and qualifications
- Experience in general wet lab techniques, including flow cytometry and primary cell culture, functional immune assays, ELISA/Luminex and molecular biology techniques (PCR, RT-PCR).
- Experience in cell metabolism and metabolomics is a plus.
- Good organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Capacity to coordinate projects, report and edit the results.
- Candidate must be highly motivated, independent and with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
- Data management skills for clinical databases will be valued.
- Good record of publications in peer-reviewed English journals.
- Advanced written and oral communication skills in English.
- Motivation to explore new research avenues.
