IrsiCaixa researcher Christian Brander, one of the most cited scientists in the world
- The list of the most influential scientists developed by the international agency Thomson Reuters lists the names of the 3,000 most cited researchers in the world, of 21 research fields.

The international agency Thomson Reuters has published a new edition of the list of the most influential researchers in the world (highlycited.com), which includes the names of the 3,125 most cited scientists by their peers in 21 areas of science.
ICREA Research Professor at IrsiCaixa Christian Brander is one of the 50 Spanish scientists of the list, 16 of them are Catalan. Christian Brander is also the scientific director of the HIVACAT Program for AIDS Vaccine Research and heads the Host Cellullar and Genetic Immunity group (see more), whose work focuses on the development of vaccine candidates against HIV.
Highly Cited Researchers 2014
To make the list, Thomson Reuters has evaluated articles published in science journals, indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection between 2002 and 2012. Only Highly Cited Papers were considered, those that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year indexed in the Web of Science.
